Co-Presidents' Message

AACC-ASA meetings are held on the last Tuesday evening of each month at Ruth Parker Eason School in Millersville.

Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.

The agenda includes introductions and general announcements, followed by time for open discussion. A refreshment break is followed by a presentation given by the guest speaker. Then time is allowed for a follow-up discussion and further opportunity for group support and socialization.

New members and new ideas are always welcome.  Come check us out!

We hope everyone enjoyed a happy and healthy holiday, and is ready to start the new year with renewed energy and spirit.

Our January meeting will feature a presentation by Joyce Benjamin, a physician assistant and pediatric nurse who will speak about diet and nutrition issues related to autism spectrum disorders.

In addition to her medical background and background in nutrition, Mrs. Benjamin

is the parent of two sons with autism spectrum disorders.  Her presentation will incorporate many issues related to diet and nutrition, including such topics as dietary supplements, the DAN protocol, and chelation. We hope you will join us on January 29th.

In our December newsletter, we failed to provide the web site address for the article entitled
"Tips for Extended Family and Friends". The article came from the "One Mom's View of Autism/

PDD" web site, located at http://www.challengenet.com/~onemom/index.html.

Speaking of web sites, our web guru Barry Conner has added a new and useful feature to our chapter's web site; it is a site search.  You can use this feature (from Google) to search our web site for articles from previous issues of the newsletter, or any other part of our chapter's web site.
